The 303 Sports Grill is enjoying the fun atmosphere that Lynn and John have created with Chip and a Chair poker. They have brought in more revenue and the people that play come in even when they aren't playing poker. Lynn and John have done absolutely amazing and created a place for people to come have fun and be comfortable no matter if it's your first or 20th time playing. Anyone who would allow them to have their poker league in their establishment would be lucky.

Chip and a Chair Poker is my favorite league in Denver. The games are friendly and welcoming to players of all levels. I have known Lynn for over a decade - she is one of the most straightforward and honest people I have ever known. People are drawn to her warmth and generous spirit; I don't believe that I know anyone else who is as broadly well-Iiked and respected as Lynn. It is a pleasure to call her my friend and I wholeheartedly recommend that everyone come check out the league that she and co-owner John have created, which is fun and entertaining. They care about the players and it shows!

Chip and a Chair Poker League is one of the newer live, in-person Denver area wide poker tours founded in 2022. First of all, this league is about the fun! Lynn & John, the folks behind Chip and a Chair Poker are really focused on being player friendly. They believe that their success comes from the players having a good time while enjoying the venues that host these games. One of the best things about how they run their tournaments is that they are not super-sticklers about nit-picky issues. Don't get me wrong, Lynn & John both know the game of poker very well and are continually adding fun elements to their games like what I call: "Juicy Pots" and "Swaggy Prizes.." Not to mention cash awards for the winners, plus qualifiers into bigger tournaments for all that play. In the final analysis they get it that, after all, these games would not succeed if it were not for all the players who come out and support local small businesses. See you at the tables!

All Kinds of Games

Texas Hold 'Em is, naturally, the primary game we play at most venues. However, sometimes we offer deep stack games (start with more chips), bounty games, Jack and Jill, Tag Team games, and more. Check the calendar for when these games are available.

Of course, our signature distinction is the "Chip and a Chair" opportunity. When you buy food or a bar beverage from the venue, you'll receive a special chip that you can use to get back in the game if you are knocked out. (One per player per day.) You'll have to wait until the start of the next round (or any later round before the second break), and the chip will get you back into the game with $5,000 in chips. If you still have your chip after the second break, you can surrender your chip and your stack less than $5000 in exchange for $5000 at the start of that round. You can't use the chip if you are knocked out after the second break., but you can keep it until the next time you play with us. Only one special chip can be used each game. Don't try to stash them all for a rainy day.

Lynn is an avid poker player who wanted to make bar poker more enjoyable for the players and alleviate the stress surrounding bar poker games. Let's face it, bars can be noisy and chaotic, players may have a variety of different skill levels, and what should be a fun game can turn into a frustrating experience. Lynn is a skilled director who works to keep the game enjoyable for everyone.
